Do you ever have trouble deciding on something to shoot? There are a lot of places to get ideas!
The Southwest Missouri Camera Club hosts a Weekly Theme Challenge on Facebook. You do not need to be a camera club member to join this group. Each week there is a new theme. The idea is to shoot a photo to fit the theme, but you can post an older photo.
There are other weekly challenge groups on Facebook, and websites with weekly challenges. Most are free and can give you ideas whether you join or not.
Try a 52 Week Challenge - even if you do not take a photo each week you can use the topics when you need ideas.
Maybe you need to learn more about the functions of your camera. Go through the manual until you find a setting or technique you are not using and figure it out. For me, this would be AI Servo (continuous focus) and panning. I could think about things that move, such as birds or cars and go practice.
It has been said that 10,000 hours of "deliberate practice" are needed to become world-class in any field. I am not sure this has been proven, but practice does lead to improvement, so get out your camera and shoot!
